How to play Balatro online in your browser
Use this guide to start the Balatro web version, let the browser client load, manage saves, and report problems clearly.
Use Start Game in the dashboard. A normal game is the correct path for your own continuing save progress. The site shows loader status while the client and game are preparing.
Browser play still needs a short preparation phase. Let the loader finish and check the status text before reporting a problem.
The duel tab is for ranked and private matches. Treat it as a separate mode with its own setup, ready checks, and match rules. Use normal sessions for personal progression and duel mode for competitive matches.
When progression systems are restricted
The site can disable leaderboard, Chips, cosmetics, or duel access when Profile 1 is not eligible. Two common causes are Unlock All usage and moderated names. The profile area explains the current restriction and points the player to the in-game Profile 1 reset path when restoration is possible.
What to do when something is wrong
Normal sessions are where a player should continue their own save. Duels are match flows with separate readiness, countdown, selected deck, and result handling. If you want personal progression, use Start Game. If you want a match against another player, use the duel tab and follow the ready prompts.
The site reads session summaries and save-derived statistics, then stores safe leaderboard values server-side. Daily and weekly boards use event windows, while all-time boards keep long-term highs. Large Balatro score strings are kept displayable without allowing them to become unlimited Chips.
A useful report includes device type, browser, whether fullscreen was active, what tab you were using, and what happened right before the problem. For leaderboard or economy reports, include the visible stat, the expected value, and whether it happened in normal play, market, trading, or duels.
Mobile browsers have less space and more aggressive viewport changes than desktop browsers. The site has fitting logic and touch-aware layout behavior, but landscape and fullscreen changes may still need a moment to resync after a rotation or browser toolbar change.
